About Northbound
Northbound Studio started in 2017 at a borrowed desk above a bike shop in Larkhaven, Oregon. Founder Maya Lindqvist had spent ten years at large agencies and wanted to work closer to the people building the brands. Today we're a team of three in a sunny studio on Alder Street.
Why we stay small
Big agencies sell you the senior team and hand you to someone else. We don't. The people in your first meeting are the people designing your logo and building your site. That keeps ideas sharp and decisions fast.
It also means we say no a lot. We take on about six projects a year so each one gets our full attention.
The team
Maya Lindqvist, Founder and Creative Director. Maya leads strategy and identity work. She has designed brands for food companies, outdoor labels, and arts groups across the Pacific Northwest.
Theo Okafor, Design Director. Theo runs our websites and digital work. He designs and builds, so what you approve is what ships.
Jess Moreau, Strategist and Producer. Jess keeps projects on time and on budget. She also leads research, from customer interviews to shelf audits.
What we believe

Who we're not a fit for
Projects that need a 40 person agency, round-the-clock media buying, or a logo by Friday.

We're at 418 Alder Street, Suite 3, Larkhaven, Oregon. Coffee is good and the door is usually open Monday through Thursday, 9 to 5.
